Read me for free* with Kindle Unlimited!

*Sort of free.

If you’re not familiar with Kindle Unlimited, it’s a subscription model available through Amazon enabling readers to pretty much read as much as they want for one monthly price. There are two catches – you can only borrow ten books at a time, and you’re limited to books made available to the Kindle Unlimited program.

Also, technically, you can’t actually read me. It’s my books that are available to read. More specifically, all of my Dreamspinner Press titles. But, seeing as I put so much of myself into the characters I write, you could be reading alternate versions of me. (Is this getting a little weird?)

..

So, What’s Available?

As I mentioned above, all of my former Dreamspinner Press titles are now enrolled in KU. They’re also available for purchase at Amazon worldwide.

Sexy New Covers!

Additionally, I redesigned the covers for two books, one a former Dreamspinner Press novella, Out in the Blue, and the other a story I wrote for the Don’t Read in the Closet event, organized by the M/M Romance group on Goodreads. Wrong Direction is now available for sale for the first time ever, and to read through KU.

No Longer Free*

*Even though they never really were free?

Anyway, the Aliens in New York series is no longer enrolled in the Kindle Unlimited program. For those of you who missed out, I might enroll them again if I write a new book for the series. It’s a pretty big IF right now. I’ve got a lot of projects I’d like to write and limited time to devote to any of them. But, a writer must write, and write I must.

Rambling aside, what this means is that Uncommon Ground and Purple Haze are now available for purchase from, well, just about anywhere. Universal links below!

Available Now: When Was the Last Time

Every new book release comes with a certain amount of excitement (and anxiety and exhaustion), but I’ve been really looking forward to the day When Was the Last Time came out because I loved writing this story. Not everything is easy to write and perhaps the fact this one poured out of me in a matter of days means I really had to get something off my chest, but I think when you’re emotionally involved in your characters it shows. I’ve been married for nearly sixteen years. I might not be experiencing the same relationship hiccups as Paul and Evan, but I know all about getting comfortable, or falling into a routine that serves.

I also know what it feels like to look over at the man I chose over fifteen years ago and feel aglow with excitement that he’s still the one. To remember why we’re married and why our love continues to grow and strengthen. So, while When Was the Last Time might seem to be a story about a couple who’s in trouble, really, it’s a story about a couple who are very much in love, but have forgotten why. It’s also about commitment and enduring love. What could be more appropriate for a Valentine’s Day story?

I hope everyone enjoys reading it as much as I liked writing it. 🙂

I do have a few things planned for release week, which extends Friday to Friday, this time ’round.

  • Visit Between the Covers to read my Romance A-Z and enter for a chance to win Out in the Blue, which is another of my favourite stories. (Okay, they’re all my favourites!)
  • I have excerpts posted at Irene Preston‘s blog and Here Be Magic. You’ll want to read them in that order. Also at Irene Preston’s blog is a Valentine’s recipe for Foodie Friday!
  • Next week, I have guest posts scheduled at Divine Magazine, Gay Book Reviews and Contemporary Romance Cafe.
  • Looking for more giveaways? There’s one today at Gay Book Reviews and look for another next Wednesday at the DreamReaders Facebook group!

LT500ShadowWhen Was the Last Time

Paul Summerfield is stunned by the gentle reminder it has been over a year since he and his partner, Evan Akkerman, have made love. He vows to take Evan out for Valentine’s Day. Dinner and sex. Lots of sex. There’s only one catch—he’s supposed to be in San Francisco that week cataloging the art collection of an important new client. No problem, he’ll just change his schedule and cut his trip short by a day.

In San Francisco, Paul struggles with regrets and the fear his love is slipping away from him. Every call to Evan seems only to prove the distance between them is increasing. All this, and a key piece of his client’s catalog is caught up in customs. To keep their Valentine’s date, Paul will have to choose between the career he’s built over fifteen years and the man he’s loved for just as long.

Coming Soon: When Was the Last Time

One more week until the release of my Valentine’s Story When Was the Last Time. I’m really excited about this one. Part of it is the cover. It’s difficult not to love seeing my name attached to something so pretty. But it’s the story that has me jumping up and down. This one’s for the married couples and enduring partners. For people who are still in love–and have forgotten what that means. For the comfortable folks! For everyone who has forgotten the couch can be used for something other than watching football. 😉
