Years ago, when I read a historical Western romance with a mail-order bride trope, I realized I needed to write my version. Because I love space, it felt natural to set my book there. I then filled the book with more of what I love: forced proximity, inhospitable environments, power imbalances, hurt/comfort, found family, a cinnamon roll hero, and the sweetest, curly-headed young man I have written to date. The result is one of my favorite stories and I’m thrilled to see it republished.
